White Lemongrass Sangria
Ingredients:
2 bottles crisp white Wine1 stalk lemongrass peeled and sliced the long way
1 large grapefruit sliced into thin rounds
1 large orange sliced into thin rounds
1 pear, cored and sliced
1 apple, cored and sliced
1 cup fruit puree or nectar(such as pineapple or your choice)
1 bunch fresh mint leaves, torn
Directions:
In a large glass pitcher combine all ingredients and adjust to desired taste with mint. Allow to sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour. For best results, store in a refrigerator overnight . Before serving add ice to the pitcher. Try a dry Riesling or mineraly Grüner Veltliner for the sangria. Avoid anything with heavy oak.
