Champagne Ginger Punch

A fun twist on a classic alcoholic punch

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup of Sugar
1/4 Cup Water
3 tablespoons finely chopped crystallized ginger
1/2 cup Vodka
1 bottle champagne, chilled

Directions:

Boil water, add sugar and ginger. Simmer for 15 minutes. Cool mixture then add vodka. Chill sugar and vodka combination over night. Strain ginger from vodka and pour into the punch bowl. Add chilled champagne. Serve. Ice ring or block optional.
