Fruity Mulled Wine

Ingredients:10 whole cloves4 whole black peppercorns 4 strips lemon zest 4 strips orange zest 1 bottle red Wine 1/2 cup kirsch 1 1/2 cups water 3/4 cup sugar 1 cinnamon stick 1 vanilla bean, halved lengthwise Directions:Combine all spices (except vanilla) and zest in cheese cloth and tie to form a bag. Add spice pouch, vanilla bean, wine, kirsch, water and sugar to a large pot. Heat mixture on stove top and simmer, but never boil, for 20 minutes. Remove vanilla bean and spice pouch and serve. Serves: 10 |
