Orange Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
3/4 cup plus half-and-half1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon sugar
3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, like Valhrona or Scharfenberger, finely chopped
2 oz Grand Marnier
3/4 cup half-and-half
Directions:
Combine 2 tablespoons of the half and half and mix with the arrowroot. In a saucepan warm the half and half over moderate heat. Whisk in the sugar when bubbles begin to form around the edges. Add in arrowroot mixture and whisk until contents begin to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in chopped chocolate and Grand Marnier. Servers four as a decadent dessert in espresso cups or other small glass.
Serves: 4
Comments:
This makes four small portions. . . or two large portions. But given the sinful nature of this dessert, it is best to share in good company!
